General Overview		Lieutenant Jaran is a young, Bajoran Starfleet officer proud of her heritage and rank. Armed with an honest attitude and considerable experience for her years, she is a solid bet that never disappoints.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Naar is an accomplished engineer that has also seen her fair share of combat action, but is known for indulging somewhat abrasive comments in the most untimely situations. She is also not particularly fond of Cardassians, though it can't compare to the hatred survivors of the Occupation harbour towards them and it has never prevented her from doing her duty.
Ambitions		Bearing a service record that would make most Captains consider her for a position in their crews, her career had a solid and promising start. She does not seem to be overly ambitious, though, and this can be considered a drawback for all those that require a certain amount of the aforementioned trait in the officers under their command.
Hobbies & Interests		Unlike most of her peers, Naar is the kind of person that prefers remaining in her quarters when she is not exercising or on duty, be it to rest or enjoy a good novel rather than visit a holosuite or the local cantina.

Personal History		A young and proud Bajoran, Jaran Naar comes from a family of petty engineers originating in Bajor's Tozhat Province, where she spent most of her childhood. She had always admired the Federation and Starfleet and her parents could barely restrain her from joining the latter as soon as she was able. Though her time at the Academy was rather unremarkable, Naar's perfomance was notable enough for her to be able to select an assignment desired by many, and one that would mark her life. She graduated at the age of 21 and applied to join the crew of the U.S.S. Akhetaten, a ship that had been recently retrofitted to operate in the Borg front. The Akhetaten saw heavy action in the following years, Jaran being promoted to lieutenant shortly after her twenty-third birthday, and although life on a frontline ship was far from calm, our Bajoran never regretted her decision. She not only managed to find her place in the perhaps most hostile environment for a junior officer, but thrived and fully integrated herself into the crew in each and every sense, eventually considering them a second family. She would soon learn not to form such strong bonds again, however, for the Akhetaten fell victim to the Collective in 2406. Fortunate, or unfortunate, to count herself among the fifty-seven survivors, she would spend four months recovering from both the physical and mental wounds until cleared for duty and assigned to Deep Space Four. It was an undoubtedly welcome change from the Borg front and Naar seemed to have learned her lesson well. She would keep to herself and rarely, if ever, speak of what transpired with anyone other than the station's counselor. Despite this, Jaran never lost her sarcastic, almost snarky touch and would continue to perform to the best of her ability for the duration of her assignment until moved to the newly built U.S.S. Regent, where she hoped to start anew.

Akhetaten. 2405: Received positive recommendations from crew evaluation reports. 2406: Promoted to Lieutenant, Junior Grade for commendable service against a superior foe. The U.S.S.
