The Green Girl Regent
Posted on Saturday August 30th, 2014 @ 4:28am by Captain Alexandria Butler
Since taking command of the Regent, I and my crew have seen little more than the drydock of Deep Space Seven, while I cannot complain of the Engineers working on her, it is frustrating that Starfleet is keeping me here for so long.
I keep being told of some new engine upgrades; some refinements to the slipstream drives, I'm an Engineer at heart and I want to know what's going into my ship, but they are keeping me well away from it. I don't like being kept in the dark at the best of times.
I've overseen my crews transitions to the Regent, we all knew and have lost amazing wonderful people with the Sovereign, herself little more than a burnt shell being pieced back together slowly in orbit of Earth.
I'm not even sure it's sunk in yet, I'm just running on automatic, sending letters of condolences to colleagues, friends... family. I couldn't bring myself to the unveiling of the monument. We lost so many people that day it probably would have been easier if my name had been on there.
Coward.
