With the recent addition of Subspace Field Modulators in key points around the Regent, the new engines appear to be fully functional, in simulations at least. We are still missing a portion of our internal structure following the original structural damage at Earth.
The key part of the Field Modulators is our phase discriminator's, which are over 300% more sensitive that standard. This allows the subspace field to be tuned in such a fine way that there now is less than a 0.002 microsecond delay between weapon activation and field re-acclimatisation.
Impressive work.
I'm glad that I now know what the Engineers are doing to my ship, I just wish I knew what Starfleet fully intends me to do with it once it has finished the refit. Normally such anticipation would be exciting for me, but I am simply exhausted by it.
I'm going to put together a petition to Starfleet Command and see if I can get some response from them, not only for me, but my crew as well.
